About the role

Join ANZ’s Commercial team in Wellington as a Relationship Associate, supporting experienced Relationship Bankers to deliver value‑added outcomes for a diverse client portfolio. This permanent, full‑time position offers a collaborative environment where you can develop banking expertise and progress toward a future Relationship Management role.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Relationship Bankers in managing and growing a varied commercial client base.
• Prepare customer reports, conduct credit analysis and contribute to financial assessments.
• Support the development and execution of client strategies based on market trends and insights.
• Participate in client engagement initiatives and help strengthen existing relationships.
• Represent ANZ professionally in the market, fostering trust with clients and internal partners.

Required profile

• Some experience in commercial, customer‑facing or service‑based roles.
• Strong numerical aptitude and a willingness to deepen understanding of business drivers.
• Clear communication skills adaptable to varied audiences.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.

Required skills

• Financial analysis and credit assessment fundamentals.
• Proficiency in preparing client reports and interpreting data.
