Commercial Insurance Branch Manager – Christchurch

About the role

Venture Insurance Brokers Limited is launching a new branch in Christchurch and is looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Branch Manager to lead the operation. This senior role will be responsible for establishing the branch, building a high‑performing broking team and driving business growth in the local market.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and launch the new Christchurch branch, including premises, processes and compliance frameworks.
• Recruit, train and develop a team of insurance brokers to achieve sales targets.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations, ensuring excellent client service and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the branch’s portfolio.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage budgets and report results to the national leadership team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking or a related financial services sales role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a sales team.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand insurance market and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
