Commercial Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will join the Commercial Finance team in Auckland, working closely with Marketing, Sales and R&D. This role provides financial insight and commercial guidance to support new product development, marketing investment and profitable growth for leading New Zealand food brands.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D to influence commercial decisions.
• Develop financial models and business cases for new product launches and marketing spend.
• Deliver performance reporting, variance analysis and ROI evaluation for innovation and marketing initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
• Assist month‑end close activities and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing or retail environments is highly desirable.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA or CIMA (or working towards) is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling.
• Proficiency with SAP and Business Warehouse (BW) or similar reporting tools.
• Ability to build robust financial models and business cases.
