Commercial Coordinator – Procurement Officer (Projects)

About the role

The Commercial Coordinator (Procurement Officer) will support the Waihi North Project by coordinating procurement activities, managing vendor relationships and providing administrative assistance to the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with contract agreements.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Onboard new vendors and maintain supplier records.
• Review invoices, match them to purchase orders and obtain approvals for payment.
• Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations and accruals for the Project Controls Manager.
• Compile data from design and procurement groups to produce costing and programming reports.
• Assist with evaluation, execution, monitoring, renewal and close‑out of local contracts.
• Facilitate project communication and provide support to project managers and business leaders.

Required profile

• Qualification in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field (preferred).
• Full, current driver’s licence; ability to drive manual vehicles preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in project administration, preferably with exposure to consultant design and engineering delivery.
