Commerce Teacher – Full‑time Permanent (Term 1, 2027)

About the role

Rangitoto College is seeking a full‑time permanent Commerce teacher to start in Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will join a well‑resourced department that consistently achieves excellent academic results and supports a Knowledge‑Rich Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Commerce lessons for secondary students, covering both NCEA and the International Baccalaureate Diploma where applicable.
• Contribute to the school’s co‑curricular programme and wider community activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Mātauranga Māori and research‑informed teaching principles.
• Maintain accurate records and report on student progress in line with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Required profile

• Qualified secondary teacher with a focus on Commerce subjects.
• Ability to teach both NCEA and, preferably, IB curricula (IB experience advantageous but not required).
• Commitment to a collegial, supportive environment and willingness to engage in professional development.
