Coffee Machine Technician – Roastery Support

About the role

Join Sublime’s small, high‑trust team as a Coffee Machine Technician. You’ll keep espresso machines, grinders and related equipment running smoothly for our wholesale café partners across Nelson and Tasman, while also supporting our roastery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular and preventive maintenance, repairs and rebuilds on client espresso machines and grinders.
• Schedule service visits, respond to call‑outs and handle emergency breakdowns across the Nelson‑Tasman region.
• Order spare parts and manage machine inventory.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with café partners.
• Assist the roasting team with hands‑on tasks in the roastery.

Required profile

• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence (essential).
• Hands‑on mechanical ability and/or electrician background.
• Calm under pressure, good communication and a team‑first attitude.

Required skills

• Mechanical repair of coffee equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
• Experience with espresso machines or coffee grinders (advantageous).
• Electrical licence (preferred).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and inventory systems such as DEAR.
