Cloud Systems Administrator

About the role

Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Cloud Systems Administrator on a 3‑to‑4‑month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. The role will manage and enhance a hybrid on‑premises and cloud network environment, support remote sites, and drive the organisation’s cloud‑first strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage hybrid network interconnections, security controls and compliance.
• Support developers with DevOps practices, troubleshooting and automation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑base articles.
• Coach and assist Engineering and DevOps teams on best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience with on‑premises network and cloud networking technologies.
• Strong background in Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects and server virtualisation.
• Ability to provide third‑level support for infrastructure incidents.
