Class 5 Truck Driver – Fixed-Term (Waikato)

About the role

DairyFert, a Fonterra business unit, is seeking a professional, safety‑focused Class 5 driver for a fixed‑term position. You will join a close‑knit team of about 30 drivers, delivering dairy by‑products safely across the Waikato region while supporting a variety of sites and locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 heavy‑vehicle trucks on scheduled day shifts, covering routes to Hautapu, Waitoa and Tirau.
• Transport dairy by‑products to customers for stock feed, land application, wastewater treatment and composting.
• Maintain high standards of safety, environmental compliance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Provide courteous service to customers and represent DairyFert’s values.

Required profile

• Clean, full Class 5 New Zealand driver’s licence.
• At least 12 months recent heavy‑vehicle driving experience.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a larger team.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental practices.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Heavy‑vehicle operation on rural and country roads.
• Experience with in‑paddock operations and tipper units (advantageous).
