Civil/Structural Engineer – Bridges

About the role

The role is a hands‑on design position focused on delivering bridge and transport structures across New Zealand. You will join an experienced team of bridge engineers and work on major infrastructure projects, expanding your technical capability while contributing to safe, reliable transport networks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and develop bridge designs in line with the NZTA Bridge Manual.
• Produce design sketches and collaborate with modellers to document engineering solutions.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary transport teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Support the overall delivery of transport infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified civil or structural engineer.
• Approximately 4–5 years of experience in bridge design.
• Familiarity with the NZTA Bridge Manual.
• Progressing toward Chartered Professional Engineer status.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
