Civil Supervisor – Wellington

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our Wellington team, overseeing site operations and delivering civil infrastructure projects safely, on schedule and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site activities, coordinating labour, plant, and subcontractors.
• Drive programme delivery, track progress and resolve issues.
• Read plans and support work planning/sequencing.
• Lead crews, conduct toolbox talks and pre‑start meetings.
• Enforce health & safety standards, manage risks and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Conduct inspections, audits and incident reporting; maintain site safety plans and compliance.
• Ensure work meets specifications and quality standards; coordinate inspections and rectify defects.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Site Engineers; maintain site records and reporting.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ civil construction supervision experience.
• Strong experience in earthworks, drainage, roading and subdivisions.
• Proven people leadership and subcontractor management skills.
• Strong planning, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Right to accept permanent employment in New Zealand.
• Full NZ driver’s licence.
