Chef – Premium Tasting Menus

About the role

We are looking for a Chef to join the 50-50 Foundation team in Paraparaumu Beach, Wellington. This full-time, on-site position works a four-day week and offers an hourly rate of $30–$40. You will work directly with owner-chef Helen Turnbull to create and serve premium tasting menus for guests. The role is based at the Paraparaumu Beach location and requires a hands-on approach in the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present premium tasting menus alongside owner-chef Helen Turnbull.
• Work on-site at the Paraparaumu Beach kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared in the location.
• Follow the four-day work week schedule as outlined in the employment terms.
• Maintain full-time availability for the role, covering all required shifts.
