Chef de Partie – Resort Kitchen

About the role

As a Chef de Partie you will be a key member of the kitchen brigade at Peppers Bluewater Resort, delivering memorable dining experiences for guests. You will maintain high culinary standards while supporting the creation of innovative, farm‑to‑table dishes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your designated kitchen section efficiently, ensuring smooth service flow.
• Assist other sections as needed and take charge at the pass when required.
• Monitor food and labour costs to stay within budget constraints.
• Produce consistently high‑quality, well‑presented dishes in line with property guidelines and service timelines.
• Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen with strict adherence to food safety standards.

Required profile

• NZ Diploma equivalent or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Commercial cookery certification (required) and preferably a safe food handling or food safety supervision certificate.
• Experience as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of local health, safety, and HACCP regulations.
• Excellent organisational abilities for preparation, planning, and cost control.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
