About the role
We are looking for a Checkout Operator to join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand. In this customer‑facing position you will ensure smooth and friendly checkout experiences for shoppers across our stores.
Key responsibilities
- Provide face‑to‑face customer service at checkout lanes.
- Process cash and EFTPOS payments accurately.
- Assist customers by sharing product knowledge and answering queries.
- Enforce age‑restricted sales policies for tobacco and alcohol.
- Support shoppers using self‑service checkout stations.
Required profile
- Demonstrates good customer service and a friendly attitude.
- Makes customer‑first decisions aligned with store processes.
- Works well within a team and communicates effectively.
- Can stand for the duration of the shift.
Required skills
