Checkout Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Checkout Operator to join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand. In this customer‑facing position you will ensure smooth and friendly checkout experiences for shoppers across our stores.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face customer service at checkout lanes.
• Process cash and EFTPOS payments accurately.
• Assist customers by sharing product knowledge and answering queries.
• Enforce age‑restricted sales policies for tobacco and alcohol.
• Support shoppers using self‑service checkout stations.

Required profile

• Demonstrates good customer service and a friendly attitude.
• Makes customer‑first decisions aligned with store processes.
• Works well within a team and communicates effectively.
• Can stand for the duration of the shift.
