Category Manager – Wine

About the role

Vinarchy is seeking a Category Manager to lead the wine category strategy across New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Category & Insights (ANZ & Asia), you will own end‑to‑end planning, execution and partnership with key retailers, turning market insights into commercial actions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for wine and sub‑segments.
• Lead regular category reviews with major retail partners.
• Analyse scan and shopper data to spot trends and growth opportunities.
• Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for sales and marketing teams.
• Collaborate closely with Sales to embed category strategy in customer conversations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to retail partners and align strategy with brand and marketing initiatives.
• Manage priorities across execution and planning cycles with high autonomy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Category Management, preferably within FMCG or liquor.
• Strong commercial acumen and solid analytical capability.
• Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Clear, pragmatic communication style and adaptability.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
