Category Finance Analyst – New Zealand

About the role

We are looking for a Category Finance Analyst to join Kraft Heinz’s Finance team in Newmarket, New Zealand. The role offers a hybrid work model (three days in the office, two days remote) and provides the opportunity to influence financial performance across the category through analysis, reporting and cross‑functional partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse actual performance, conduct variance analysis and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Trade Finance, Revenue Management and Marketing to vet financials of customer‑facing opportunities and assess trade spend.
• Own monthly performance reporting, including price‑volume‑mix analysis and communication of business drivers to stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of forecasts, strategic plans and annual operating plans, including zero‑based budgeting.
• Develop innovation P&L models and work with Operations to ensure comprehensive business reporting.
• Utilise financial modelling and scenario planning to deliver insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Multiple years of finance experience, preferably with a background in financial business partnering.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to explain key drivers to senior audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Tableau, Demantra, JDA, SAP, Circana (UNIFY) and Quantium (preferred).
