Casual Registered Nurse – Christchurch

About the role

As a Casual Registered Nurse with Oceania, you will deliver high‑quality nursing care across multiple care communities in the Christchurch region. Working in a nurse‑led service, you will practice at full scope while providing flexible, compassionate support to residents and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care and clinical support across Oceania care communities.
• Coordinate daily care needs of residents and inspire care teams.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions independently and collaboratively.
• Make sound clinical decisions and exercise professional autonomy in resident care.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and allied health professionals.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to care staff.
• Adapt quickly to different care environments while maintaining exceptional standards.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Commitment to resident‑centred care.
• Previous experience using clinical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and support team members.
• Flexibility to work across multiple Oceania sites on a casual, as‑needed basis.
• Willingness to work a variety of rostered shifts, including weekends and nights.
