Casual Programme Assistant (Afternoon) – Christchurch

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, energetic Casual Programme Assistant to join our after‑school teams in Christchurch. You will work mainly in the afternoons, creating safe and fun experiences for children across several sKids sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children during a variety of activities such as arts, science, sports and cooking.
• Maintain clean, tidy and welcoming environments for the programmes.
• Assist the Programme Manager in delivering smooth, energetic sessions.
• Observe and report any behavioural, wellbeing or safety concerns to the manager.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship).
• Reliable transport to reach Fendalton, Bishopdale, Selwyn House and Addington sites.
• Enthusiastic about working with children – any experience such as babysitting, coaching or volunteering is valued.
• Reliable, energetic and committed to making each session special.
