Casual Practice Nurse

About the role
We are seeking a motivated registered nurse to join the close‑knit team at Hillcrest and Tamahere Medical Centre on a casual basis. The role focuses on delivering whānau‑centric primary care within a supportive, innovative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality primary care nursing services to patients at the medical centre.
- Deliver whānau‑centred care, ensuring patient needs are placed first.
- Administer vaccinations and conduct HPV screening as an authorised vaccinator.
- Maintain clinical standards and adhere to practice protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support patient wellbeing.
Required profile
- Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Authorised vaccinator and certified in HPV screening.
- Positive “can‑do” attitude with a commitment to patient‑first care.
- Strong teamwork mindset and flexibility to adapt in a busy clinic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with OMS (practice management system).
- Competent use of MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with Indici (desirable).
