Caregiver – Full‑time Aged Care Support

About the role

Join Coldstream Lifecare & Village in Ashburton as a full‑time Caregiver, providing compassionate support to aged‑care residents. You will work 32 hours per week across AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, helping to create a warm, safe environment for our community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care activities, including bathing, dressing and mobility.
• Support residents in maintaining a comfortable living environment and promote social interaction.
• Monitor and record residents’ health status, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
• Follow health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
• Collaborate with a multicultural team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing).
• At least one year of experience in a caregiver or similar aged‑care role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping people and a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to health‑safety standards.
