Capstone Project Supervisor - Master of Management

About the role

Yoobee Colleges is hiring a Capstone Project Supervisor for its Master of Management programme. The role is remote, part-time and fixed-term, at 10 hours per week (two 5-hour days). You will mentor 10 postgraduate students on their 15-week research or applied industry project, giving them structured academic guidance and supporting them to achieve Level-9 learning outcomes through independent research, analysis and professional application.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise postgraduate students with weekly structured academic guidance and support.
• Lead project planning, scope definition, milestone tracking and overall research progress.
• Support students in research design, literature review, methodology, data analysis and academic writing.
• Give timely, constructive feedback on drafts, reports, presentations and assessments.
• Monitor progress, identify academic risks and provide extra support where needed.
• Ensure compliance with academic integrity, ethical research practice and inclusive supervision, liaising with industry partners where applicable.

Required profile

• PhD in Management, Business Analytics, Business Informatics, Information Systems or a related discipline (essential).
• Prior postgraduate supervision, mentoring or research guidance experience.
• Experience in applied research, consulting or industry projects.
• Ability to manage multiple students at once, with strong organisation and time management.
• Commitment to academic integrity, ethical research practice, respect for diversity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
