Capital Works Operator

About the role

The Capital Works Operator will join Veolia's capital works team in Queenstown to deliver infrastructure projects that meet contractual and legislative requirements. You will work on‑site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the capital works team to achieve safe, efficient and timely project delivery.
• Execute all phases of capital works projects, from set‑up through completion, adhering to timelines and quality specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement safety measures to maintain a zero‑harm environment.
• Coordinate with the Team Lead, contractors and internal departments to ensure seamless execution and clear communication.
• Perform regular inspections and quality assurance checks to meet technical and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate on‑site documentation, including safety records and compliance paperwork.

Required profile

• Combination of relevant education, training and hands‑on trade experience.
• Experience in the water or wastewater sector is preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
