Capital Project Manager – Supply Chain (NZ)

About the role

Asahi Beverages is looking for a Capital Project Manager to lead critical engineering projects across its New Zealand manufacturing and logistics sites. The role will shape how projects are planned, executed and handed over, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of capital projects, from scoping and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing timelines, budgets and resources.
• Write clear scopes, technical specifications and project documentation.
• Provide on‑site leadership for contractors, enforcing safety and quality standards.
• Support procurement processes and navigate internal systems to secure optimal outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in project planning, delivery and safety practices.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or related).
• Technical expertise relevant to supply‑chain environments such as brewing, packaging or utilities.
• Proven experience managing multiple process‑improvement or infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Leadership ability to guide contractors and ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Flexibility, proactivity and willingness to work across new project areas.
