Calf Rearer – Fixed-Term Position at Bounty Dairy

About the role

Join the Bounty Dairy Unit team as a Calf Rearer on a fixed‑term contract from July to November 2026. You will work on a 629‑hectare dairy farm just outside Taupō, caring for the next generation of dairy calves and supporting overall farm operations.

Key responsibilities

• Feed, weigh, draft and drench young calves.
• Monitor calf health and welfare, reporting any concerns.
• Assist with milking and other general farm duties as required.
• Maintain clean and safe calf housing areas.
• Travel to and from the farm daily; reliable transport is essential.

Required profile

• Genuine care for animals and enjoyment of outdoor work.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual farm tasks.
• Hold a restricted or full driver’s licence.
• Positive attitude to health, safety and animal welfare.
• Unrestricted legal right to work in New Zealand and availability for an in‑person interview.
