About the role
Join the friendly team at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki as a casual Cafe Assistant. You will work in a vibrant, high‑traffic environment, providing excellent service to visitors and supporting daily café operations.
Key responsibilities
- Take orders and serve food and beverages to customers.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system for transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, equipment, and service stations.
- Assist with stock replenishment and basic food preparation as needed.
- Deliver a welcoming and professional customer experience.
Required profile
- High standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Strong communication and social skills.
- Ability to think quickly and adapt in a busy, customer‑focused setting.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts across a 7‑day roster.
Required skills
- POS system operation.
