CAD/CAM CNC Programmer – Metal 3D Printing

About the role

RAM3D is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised professional to support its growing metal 3D printing business. The role combines CAD modelling, 3D‑printer operation and CNC machining in a dynamic, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Modify existing CAD models and create new parts from scratch.
• Set up, unload and operate metal 3D printers; learn RAM processes, Netfabb and part latticing.
• Place parts on the build plate and support post‑processing activities.
• Set up and run CNC lathe and CNC machining centre, process CNC jobs and program machines.
• Troubleshoot issues on the fly and maintain CNC equipment as needed.
• Work closely with customers and suppliers to meet design and tolerance requirements.
• Perform quality‑control tasks, including measuring, gauging and ensuring print tolerances.
• Quote 3D‑print and CNC jobs and adjust models according to customer feedback.
