Business Support Manager

About the role

Robert Half NZ is seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to lead a high‑performing support function within a fast‑paced recruitment environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and provide strategic support to consultants and leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Support professionals, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Provide exceptional administrative and operational support to sales teams.
• Oversee front‑of‑house and reception functions, maintaining professional standards.
• Manage compliance processes, candidate documentation and audit requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on business processes, systems and reporting.
• Coordinate business events, internal meetings and office activities, handling budgets and logistics.
• Produce and oversee operational reporting, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
• Support leadership with planning, business administration and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain CRM and other business systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted operational partner.

Required profile

• Proven leader in operations or business support with strong organisational and people‑management skills.
• Experience delivering administrative support in a recruitment or similar fast‑moving environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, audit processes and continuous‑improvement projects.
