Business Leader – Hospitality Venue Manager

About the role

Star Group is seeking experienced Business Leaders to drive performance across three of its Wellington venues. You will lead front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while delivering profitable operations in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily venue operations, setting service standards and culture.
• Manage rosters, payroll and on‑shift initiatives to meet commercial targets.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu compliance, costings and product knowledge.
• Oversee Health & Safety, host‑responsibility and licensing compliance.
• Drive staff coaching, training and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years in a senior hospitality management role.
• Proven ability to work flexible hours across a 7‑day roster, including nights and weekends.
• Strong commercial mindset with focus on operational excellence.
• Experience managing both FOH and BOH teams in a busy venue.
