Business Intelligence Developer – Data & Analytics

About the role

The Business Intelligence Developer will report to the Team Leader – Business Intelligence and will be responsible for creating and delivering management information that drives insight and decision‑making across the Tertiary Education Commission and its partners. This position is ideal for an intermediate‑level BI professional who enjoys building enterprise‑grade BI solutions that tell compelling stories and support learners in the tertiary sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain BI products that support core business functions of TEC and partner organisations.
• Explore and implement new approaches to data visualisation, advising stakeholders on the most appropriate techniques for each context.
• Define the purpose and parameters of visualisation projects to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Optimise BI tools and maintain the semantic layer between the data warehouse and BI platforms.
• Integrate the BI environment with third‑party tools to enable predictive analytics and machine‑learning solutions.
