Business Development Representative (Remote, NZ)

About the role

Employment Hero is looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join its New Zealand sales team. This remote position offers a fast‑track start to a sales career with a competitive base salary and attractive OTE.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, emails and follow‑ups.
• Identify and qualify key decision‑makers within target accounts.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to hand over high‑potential leads for further development and closure.
• Maintain and grow a prospect database within the assigned segment.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and route promising opportunities appropriately.

Required profile

• 1+ years of proven high‑volume outbound B2B sales experience.
• Track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Strong phone presence and resilience to conduct daily outreach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
