Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth for our flagship programmes at Outward Bound in Auckland. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach across New Zealand, forging strong partnerships and delivering life‑changing experiences to participants.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the outdoor education and adventure sector.
• Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, schools, and community organisations.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual revenue targets.
• Collaborate with programme and marketing teams to tailor offerings to client needs.
• Track market trends and provide insights to inform product development.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in education, tourism or related fields.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
• Willingness to experience an Outward Bound course personally.
