Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new‑logo revenue for a leading New Zealand‑owned technology services provider. The role focuses on selling managed IT services, Microsoft 365, Azure, on‑premises infrastructure and cyber security solutions to enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, progress and close new business opportunities through cold calling, outbound prospecting and networking.
• Maintain a pipeline of at least eight qualified meetings per month.
• Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles from discovery to contract signing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to shape solutions that meet customer needs.
• Prepare proposals, tenders and presentations that highlight service benefits and commercial value.
• Ensure accurate CRM data, forecasting and pipeline visibility.
• Refine target segments, value propositions and service positioning.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience within an MSP or technology services environment.
• Strong outbound prospecting and cold‑calling skills with a track record of self‑sourced pipeline.
• Experience selling recurring‑revenue, managed services solutions.
• Ability to conduct consultative, solution‑based conversations with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Commercially disciplined, resilient and comfortable being measured on activity, pipeline and revenue.
