Job description
About the role
iGoDirect is expanding its New Zealand operations and seeks a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth. This pure‑hunter role will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, build a pipeline from scratch and position iGo’s digital payment solutions with enterprise clients across the country.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, approach and secure new enterprise and corporate customers across New Zealand, focusing on organisations that need digital payment, engagement and disbursement solutions.
- Build and maintain a high‑quality sales pipeline covering sectors such as financial services, insurance, travel, government, utilities, health, loyalty and corporate incentives.
- Present iGo’s digital Visa‑issuing platform, prepaid products, digital wallets and disbursement capabilities to solve complex business challenges.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers, including C‑suite executives, product owners and digital transformation leaders.
- Lead the full sales process from prospecting through solution design, commercial negotiation and contract execution.
- Collaborate with product, delivery and customer‑success teams in Australia to ensure successful implementation and long‑term growth.
- Represent iGo within the New Zealand payments ecosystem, building relationships with industry partners, Visa, consultants and referral channels.
Required profile
- Proven track record of enterprise B2B business development in payments, fintech or financial services.
- Demonstrated success selling complex, solution‑based offerings rather than commodity products.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover client needs and craft tailored solutions.
- Self‑motivated hunter who thrives on opening doors and winning new business.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with senior stakeholders.
Required skills
- Knowledge of card issuing, digital payments, prepaid solutions and related payment technologies.
- Ability to articulate technical product features to non‑technical senior audiences.
