Business Development Manager

About the role

EROAD is expanding its presence in New Zealand and is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its telematics solutions for small‑to‑medium businesses. The role combines account management of existing customers with proactive sales of upgrades and new products, supporting the company’s mission to improve road safety and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and manage outbound calls to SMB customers using 2G/3G units, promoting upgrades to 4G technology.
• Provide detailed product information, quotations and support to facilitate transitions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships within customer organisations to influence buying decisions.
• Execute a regular call plan to introduce new products and upsell additional solutions.
• Increase average revenue per user (ARPU) by upselling plans and accessories.
• Meet targets for new unit growth, retention and revenue.
• Conduct face‑to‑face visits with key accounts as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, telephone account management or related fields.
• Proven track record of meeting sales and retention targets, preferably in telecommunications or fleet management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software and related sales technologies.
