Business Development Manager

About the role

Kiwibank is seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen and grow its relationships with mortgage advisers across New Zealand. You will act as a trusted partner, coaching advisers on policy, process and deal review to improve submission quality and increase approval and settlement rates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑trust partnerships with mortgage advisers and key industry stakeholders.
• Coach advisers on Kiwibank policies, processes and deal structures.
• Review mortgage deals, ensuring they meet credit policies and support adviser success.
• Represent Kiwibank in the market to enhance brand presence and build long‑term collaborations.
• Provide constructive feedback and facilitate capability building across the adviser network.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑management experience within lending or mortgage advisory.
• Commercial mindset with understanding of sales, service and business performance drivers.
• Proven ability to assess lending proposals against credit policies.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation and partnership‑building skills.
