Business Development Executive

About the role

As Lineage expands its New Zealand business, it is looking for a commercially minded Business Development Executive to strengthen customer relationships, identify new opportunities and drive growth across its cold storage and logistics operations. The role focuses on developing opportunities and supporting customers across New Zealand, partnering closely with operational leaders to deliver tailored supply chain solutions. It could be based in Auckland, Tauranga, Hawke's Bay or Christchurch.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and manage a portfolio of customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities across New Zealand
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identify, pursue and secure new warehousing and supply chain opportunities
• Develop commercially competitive proposals, pricing models and solutions
• Lead customer negotiations and support contract renewals and rate reviews
• Work with operational leaders so customer expectations are exceeded
• Monitor market trends and identify growth and innovation opportunities
• Maintain an active pipeline through Salesforce CRM
• Provide strategic customer insights and market intelligence to the wider business
• Support initiatives on business growth, operational improvement and customer experience

Required profile

• Experience in business development, account management, sales or customer growth roles
• Exposure to logistics, warehousing, supply chain, transport or 3PL environments
• Proven ability to build long-term partnerships and strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical thinking and the ability to make data-driven commercial recommendations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proactive, self-motivated approach

Required skills

• CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
• Preparing proposals, pricing solutions and business cases
