Business Development Executive – Hotel Sales

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive new revenue for Holiday Inn Auckland Airport by building relationships with corporate, government, travel management, aviation and events clients. This client‑facing role focuses on filling rooms, meeting suites and banquet spaces across Auckland.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and meet with prospective and existing clients throughout the Auckland region.
• Achieve personal and team sales targets to maximise hotel profitability.
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities into long‑term contracts.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts and external partners.
• Represent the hotel at community events and networking functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage a busy external sales schedule.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system, preferably Delphi.
