Business Data Analyst (8‑month secondment)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst on an 8‑month secondment to join the Property Performance Improvement & Quality (PIQ) team. You will work closely with property leaders to turn complex data into clear insights that support better planning, management and reporting of a large government property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and improve reporting datasets and business processes.
• Support the design and maintenance of Power Apps, Power Automate flows and Power BI dashboards.
• Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets by implementing automated solutions.
• Document processes, create user guidance and deliver training to diverse stakeholders.
• Contribute to day‑to‑day reporting and analysis activities.

Required profile

• Experience with project, programme or portfolio management for a large government property portfolio.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality written reports and presentations.
• Strong data‑management and analytical skills.
• Experience mapping processes, introducing new tools and managing multiple improvement initiatives.
• Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of audiences.
• Understanding of public‑sector systems and processes.

Required skills

• Microsoft Power Platform tools – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query.
• SharePoint.
• SQL (advantageous).
• Relevant Microsoft certification or willingness to obtain one (e.g., PL‑900, PL‑200, PL‑300, DP‑900, DP‑600).
