Business Assurance Partner – 9‑month Fixed Term

About the role

The Business Assurance Partner will work alongside the Director of Business Assurance to help NZTE manage risk and support sound decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide internal audit and risk advisory services to improve operations and build risk maturity.
• Collaborate with internal teams domestically and internationally, up to senior leadership, to perform audit work and deliver risk advice.
• Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with leaders, the Lead Team and the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee.

Required profile

• Strong collaborator and communicator able to build trusted relationships across diverse cultures.
• Experience in professional services, internal audit or risk management, with ability to advise on complex risk matters.
• Influencing skills at senior management level, comfortable making independent decisions.
• Degree in management or finance with relevant auditing/accounting qualifications (e.g., IIA, CA ANZ) or equivalent.
