About the role
We are looking for an experienced Bull Farm Technician to join our Newstead site. You will work with bulls of all ages, ensuring they are healthy, well‑trained and ready for semen collection.
Key responsibilities
- Handle and manage bulls across all age groups safely and efficiently.
- Perform animal husbandry tasks, including identifying sick animals and reporting to supervisors or veterinarians.
- Train and develop bulls so they can be led and handled for semen collection.
- Tease and prepare bulls before collection to maximise volume and concentration of semen.
- Work collaboratively with the team, following workplace health and safety procedures.
Required profile
- Strong cattle stock sense and understanding of bull behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Clear knowledge of workplace health and safety.
- High level of fitness and energy.
- Team‑player attitude.
