Broadcast Channels Operator Team Leader

About the role

Entain is looking for a Broadcast Channels Operator Team Leader in Auckland, leading a specialist team of nine Broadcast Channels Operators across Ladbrokes, neds and Trackside. The role sits at the heart of a 24/7 broadcast operation, coordinating and participating in the daily operation of the channels while staying hands-on. It is an on-site, full-time position on an 80-hour fortnight, with rostered shifts covering days, overnights, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of nine Broadcast Channels Operators, building capability, confidence and accountability
• Coordinate and take part in the operation of the broadcast channels
• Create fair and effective rosters that support 24/7 coverage, sustainable working practices and legally compliant breaks
• Work with Production, Directors, Scheduling, Master Control, external providers and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, reliable broadcasts

Required profile

• Proven experience in a formal people-leadership role, including developing team capability and managing performance in a fast-paced operational environment
• Relevant experience in live broadcasting, broadcast channel operations or a similar control room environment
• Experience preparing and managing team rosters, shift coverage or leave arrangements
• Experience developing and delivering training, procedures or operational documentation
• Calm, collaborative approach with the confidence to make timely decisions, give clear feedback and hold people accountable
• Nice to have: rostering in a 24/7 environment, knowledge of racing, sports broadcasting or wagering content, and experience using AI or other tools to improve workflows

What we offer
