Bridge Engineer – Nationwide New Zealand

About the role

We are seeking skilled and passionate Bridge Engineers to join our expanding teams across New Zealand. You will work within one of the country’s most reputable structures asset‑management groups, delivering a variety of projects that strengthen, remediate, and replace critical bridges while supporting sustainable community connections.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver bridge strengthening, remediation, and replacement projects for a diverse client base.
• Develop and maintain successful client relationships, ensuring innovative, best‑for‑project outcomes.
• Contribute to the full design delivery process, from concept through detailed design to construction.
• Support the asset‑management team in preserving heavily trafficked, historic bridges.

Required profile

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a tight‑knit team and across the wider business.
• Motivation to enhance project delivery with innovative concepts and sustainable practices.
• Awareness of the complete design lifecycle for bridge projects.
• Experience with parametric design tools and a desire to further develop these capabilities.
• Chartered status or a clear intention to achieve chartership, with company support.
