About the role
As a Brewing Technician you will work across all areas of the brewery, learning from a talented crew while gaining hands‑on experience producing some of New Zealand’s most loved brands. You will play a key part in maintaining high quality, keeping shelves stocked and upholding the brewery’s reputation.
Key responsibilities
- Operate brewing, cider and ready‑to‑drink (RTD) production processes to world‑class standards.
- Collaborate with Planning, Inventory and Packaging teams to meet daily production targets.
- Perform quality checks and ensure the brewery meets safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with routine maintenance and support continuous‑improvement projects.
- Rotate across early brew, late brew, filtration and cellar shifts on a 4‑week rotating schedule.
Required profile
- Secondary education plus a relevant Level 4+ qualification or 2–3 years experience in FMCG or maintenance.
- Ability to work a 40‑hour week on a rotating shift pattern.
- Interest in brewing, biotechnology, engineering or continuous‑improvement methodologies is a plus.
Required skills
- Operating brewery production equipment.
- Quality control and inspection.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean or Six Sigma principles.
