Breakfast Chef

About the role

Join the award‑winning Lombardi restaurant at Hotel St Moritz as a Breakfast Chef. You will work alongside the kitchen brigade to deliver high‑quality breakfast dishes that meet the standards of an upscale, internationally recognised establishment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items in your designated area with speed and precision.
• Coordinate food production with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and service teams.
• Ensure all dishes follow established recipes, presentation standards and NZ food safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, advise the supervisor of requirements and control waste through efficient preparation.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment and adhere to health, safety and smoke‑free policies.
• Support kitchen hand shifts and step in where needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (Commis or CDP) within a 5‑star or upscale establishment.
• Familiarity with multiple kitchen sections and ability to work flexibly.
• Strong food presentation standards and creativity in menu development.
• Leadership ability to maintain an effective work group.
• Clear visa status or current working rights in New Zealand.
