Branch Manager (Greymouth Branch)

About the role

The Branch Manager leads, coaches and develops a team of branch bankers to deliver exceptional customer service and experience and meet the branch's banking needs. The position is permanent and full-time, based at the Greymouth branch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach branch teams to deliver exceptional customer service
• Monitor, own and drive improvement of key customer metrics
• Support the team in driving customer education and enabling self-service
• Build strong referral and working relationships with specialist banking teams
• Act as a point of escalation and resolution for customer complaints
• Engage directly with customers for appointments, concierge and walk-in assistance
• Provide information and tools that help customers make the most of their money
• Oversee branch operations and champion branch banking initiatives
• Keep the branch tidy and well presented, aligned with brand expectations
• Lead community engagement as a brand ambassador through education sessions and seminars on financial wellbeing, digital banking and scam awareness
• Develop branch teams and promote adherence to ANZ policies, risk frameworks and regulatory requirements including QA and credit risk standards

Required profile

• Ideally people leadership, coaching and development experience
• Ability to create a customer-centric culture and foster excellent frontline service
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of compliance and branch operations
• Understanding of ANZ performance frameworks
• Ability to lead the development of an inclusive workplace culture
