Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

About the role

BayCare Health Systems is seeking a full‑time Behavioral Health RN to join the team at Mease Dunedin Hospital's Behavioral Health Center in Dunedin, FL. The position offers a 36‑hour week with day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, working every other weekend and no on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centered care to a group of behavioral health patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to other members of the health‑care team.
• Promote evidence‑based clinical practices and maintain professional accountability.
• Seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.

Required profile

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Successful completion of Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
