Barista (Full-time, Inverargill)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and experienced Barista to join the café team at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village in Inverargill. This is a full-time, onsite position working Sunday to Thursday, 08:30‑16:30, with an additional weekend allowance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages to residents, relatives and visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area.
• Provide excellent food and beverage service, including handling food items.
• Promote a welcoming and caring atmosphere within the village.
• Support colleagues and work collaboratively as part of the team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Barista in a busy café environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to multitask.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with genuine empathy.
• Reliable, professional attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
