Banking Consultant

About the role

As a Banking Consultant at ANZ's Takanini branch, you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking transactions and guiding them through simple yet important financial decisions. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships and making banking services accessible and friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist with a wide range of banking needs, from transactions to account updates.
• Engage in meaningful conversations to understand each customer’s priorities and tailor advice accordingly.
• Introduce and demonstrate digital banking tools, ensuring customers feel confident using them.
• Support customers in opening new accounts, exploring products, and navigating the bank’s services.
• Maintain compliance with banking regulations and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and celebrate collective successes.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focus with a genuine desire to help people.
• Retail or customer‑service experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital channels and technology.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations.
• Team‑player mindset with good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of compliance requirements.
