About the role

Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand is seeking a passionate Baker to join its in‑store bakery team. You will work in a vibrant, customer‑focused environment, creating a range of breads and cakes while upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, breads and other bakery items to meet store demand.
• Maintain clean and safe workstations, following health and safety and food safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering queries and offering product recommendations.
• Train, develop and supervise apprentices and other bakery team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a bakery or similar food‑production environment.
• Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to flexible schedules and meet tight deadlines.
