Back End Software Engineer (Senior)

About the role

We are rebuilding the platform layer behind cross‑border payments for corporate and consumer clients at XeXe, a fast‑growing fintech backed by Euronet Worldwide. As a Senior Back‑End Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end delivery of core services that move money, manage multi‑currency balances and support onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services that handle money movement and multi‑currency balance management.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery with product, compliance and operations from problem definition through launch.
• Build partner integrations and settlement infrastructure required by your domain.
• Own production health, including reliability, observability, on‑call duties and incident response.
• Conduct design reviews, set technical direction and mentor mid‑level engineers.
• Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily and drive modernization of legacy services.

Required profile

• 6‑10+ years of experience building production backend services end‑to‑end.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET (or comparable OOP language such as Java, Kotlin or Go).
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring and architecture decisions.
• Experience in payments, FX or other regulated industries is a plus.
