Avionics Technician II - Components

About the role
Join Rocket Lab’s Avionics Production team and help build the electronic lifelines of the Electron launch vehicle. You will work hands‑on with high‑precision tools to assemble, test, troubleshoot and rework avionics components and wire harnesses for rockets that launch critical missions worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical avionics components and wire harnesses to exacting standards.
- Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and automated test equipment.
- Perform inspections of PCBs and wiring assemblies, ensuring high workmanship quality.
- Execute testing, troubleshooting and rework of assembled units to achieve mission‑ready status.
- Read and follow manufacturing instructions, drawings and ESD safety procedures.
Required profile
- Trade‑qualified in a relevant industry or at least 4 years of comparable experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical assembly background.
- Ability to work long hours when required and take initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail and calm under pressure.
